DonTomaso is one of Sweden’s most established DJs, with over 30 years of experience. DonTomaso is best known for his work at nightclubs around Stureplan in Stockholm, including well-known venues such as Laroy, Spy Bar, Kharma, Rose, Milliebar, Gilda, Sinners, Sturecompagniet, Cafe Opera, and many, many more.
Hof has been DJing since the late 1980s. He developed an interest in the field through his uncle and friends who were already active on the local scene.
Born and raised in the notorious Smögen archipelago on the west coast, he soon began performing at various local clubs and in nearby cities.
Eventually, he moved to Gothenburg, where he began his career at well-known agencies such as Nöjesgruppen and Diroco, and also performed downtown at Kosmopol, Waland, Gamleport, and other venues.
In '97, he grabbed his records and headed to the Canary Islands, where he began his transition into house music, performing at Chic (Pacha), Rainbow, and Joy.
Performing for a more UK-based international audience provided the most in-depth knowledge and skills regarding the essence of Balearic club culture.
In '99, he landed in Stockholm, got things set up, and soon performed for the already well-established Stureplansgruppen.
From here, the story continues with various established DJ communities, agencies, themed projects, Sthlm House / Sthlm Inc,
Hof generally draws inspiration from deep house, but also blends his sound with just the right amount of soulful, electronic, and nu-disco elements.
He excels at reading the crowd, performing on the dance floor, and setting just the right mood for dining, mingling, poolside gatherings, bar scenes, and lobby events.
Back in 1989, Marcus Engberg made a pivotal decision to buy his first 1210s and diligently labeled all his records with BPM Post-its. Transforming the living room of his parents’ house into a woodshop, Marcus set out to build his first disco speakers to showcase his DJ skills at local youth discos. Little did he know that this humble beginning would mark the start of something truly enduring.
Fast forward to the present, and Marcus has become a prominent figure in Stockholm’s nightlife scene, leaving his mark on some of the city’s most iconic venues. Over the years, he has curated the music for these venues, showcasing his talent and eclectic musical taste. While Marcus effortlessly blends a wide range of musical genres, what truly defines his style is the incorporation of heavy drums and groovy basslines that set the perfect tone for any event or venue. With a passion for music and an unwavering dedication to his craft, Marcus Engberg continues to captivate audiences and create unforgettable musical experiences wherever he goes.
